Student Workers
Student workers are part of the daily life of the Tech library. The information contained in these pages is designed to assist you in determining if you wish to pursue student employment with the library and to guide you through the application process.
The Tech Library maintains a student workforce throughout the academic year and during the summer months. The Library employs approximately fifteen students during the academic year. The peak hiring times are August/September and January/February. Our office hires both work-study students and students without work-study awards, with or without library experience. Students are usually hired to work at the Circulation Desk.
Before hiring an individual, at least two (2) forms of official identification are required. Please check the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Arkansas Tech University considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, age, marital or veteran status, the presence of non-job related mental condition or handicap, or any other legally protected status.
To be considered for employment, applicants must have first completed an application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not yet done this, go to the Federal Student Aid website and follow their instructions before you turn in your Tech Library Student Employment application.
