Streaming Media in Original Language Version
Students
Students should directly go the the appropriate language page through one of the above tabs.
Faculty
Faculty should read and instruct their students as how to access a film. The best way being doing it once live in the classroom through the appropriate above tab.
The movies listed are available online through subscription databases. They will feature subtitles in English. If it is through a subscription tool, you will have to sign in if off-campus. You may also have to create a personal account within the database to have access to the films.
Interfaces Offering Original Language Films.
You will have to sign in.
A SAMPLE is not a full movie. In the left area, click the filter icon.
Select your language in the Language box. Select [ Sony Pictures Classics ] from the Publishers box to see all mainstream popular titles. Scroll down below the filter box to view the results. At this time, the Sony Pictures Classics channel offers 47 movies in French, 20 in Spanish, 15 in German, and 5 in Japanese.
Music Box Films is another publisher offering popular films. There are also many English documentaries that include foreign languages. Browse the publishers' box to see what they offer in the language you have pre-selected.
Once you found a title for your class, give your students the title. The link provided on the language tab accesses Academic Video Online's main interface. The students can easily search for and find the selected movie.
Mango Languages is a database focused on world languages. It is offered through the Arkansas State Library. Thus access does not require signing in into the Library Online Resources authentication system. However, within Mango, you and your students should create a personal account (called Profile) so the work is saved and one can resume where one left.
On the interface homepage, scroll down and click [ Sign Up ]. It only requires your Tech email address and a password.
Once in, select a language. Once there, click [ EXPLORE ] in the upper left menu. On the new page, click [ MANGO PREMIERE ] to see the film content in the selected language.
Once you found a title for your class, give your students the title. The link provided on the language tab directly accesses the list of available films in the language within Mango Languages so the students can easily find the movie.

There are limited titles in foreign language, but the titles can be changed from semester to semester.
Swank allows viewing movies on iPhones and iPads with the download of the "Swank Media Player" from the App Store.
