How to Pair the Meta Quest 2 to Your Phone

The app is available for iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once you have downloaded the app, open it and sign in with your Meta or Oculus account

  • 2. Put the Quest 2 into Pairing Mode

To do this, turn on your Quest 2 and put the headset on. Next, navigate to the settings menu and select "Device." Next, select "Pair New Device" and follow the instructions on the screen.

Common Issues When Pairing the Oculus Quest 2 With a Phone

While pairing your Meta Quest 2 to your phone is a straightforward process, there may be some issues that you encounter.

  1. Bluetooth Connection: This is one of the most common issues when pairing the Quest 2 with a phone. If you're having trouble pairing your devices via Bluetooth, try turning off Bluetooth on both devices and then turning it back on.

  1. App Compatibility: Make sure your phone meets the minimum system requirements for the Meta Quest app and that you're running the latest version of the app.

  1. WiFi connection: If you're having trouble with the WiFi connection on your device, try restarting your router and resetting your headset's WiFi settings. Also, ensure that your phone is connected to the same WiFi network as your VR headset.

Adjusting the lens IPD (the distance between each eye)

Physically moving each lens with your thumbs allows you to cycle between distances of 58mm, 63mm and 68mm. Adjust this setting to find the option that provides the clearest picture and sharpest text for you. With your fit adjusted for comfort and crisp visuals, you can now pop in the included glasses spacer if necessary. Otherwise, it’s time to dive in.

If you happen to get fingerprints on the lenses, we have a guide on how to clean your Oculus Quest 2 lenses.

Cleaning Procedures

  • Clean the lenses as needed using ONLY a microfiber cloth IF NEEDED.

  • Clean equipment after EVERY session using an alcohol wipe.
