Copy the Direct Link. The LMS Link can be used as an alternative to an embed code, but it does not embed the video--just the link.
Best practice: Direct students to the Swank platform from the library's A-to-Z Database page. From there, they can search for the film.
Swank Digital Campus is a streaming film database for universities that includes a wide variety of feature films and documentaries. It includes many classic films, Hollywood blockbusters, and international movies in many languages.
Arkansas Tech University has access to 50 films on demand available to all current students, faculty, and staff. Search by title or person, or browse the full list of currently available Swank films by genre.
Films not currently accessible in Swank must be requested by the user and approved by the Library. You can email your library liaison with the request.
It depends on a variety of factors, but in general, when the film is required for an online class, we will make every effort to purchase the film license. Each license lasts for one year, which begins at the fall semester and ends shortly before the next fall semester. After which, the film must be requested and purchased again for future classes.
Because the costs associated with streaming films are usually much higher than a physical copy, the library will generally recommend the physical DVD copy if teaching a course face-to-face.
